The Prison
The Prison is one of the main areas within Gangster Nation. No matter what you will be spending some time in there. Nevertheless, you can have friends bust you out so you don't have to spend a long time in the cells. However, the higher your level, the harder it will be to bust you out of jail.
Busting Out
Busting people out of prison is very simple, there are now "chance bars" that show you a success rate (via percentages).
- Green: Indicates your chance to successfully bust the player out of jail.
- Orange: Indicates your chance to fail the bust, but you will get away safely.
- Red: Indicates your chance to fail and get put into prison.
Your chances of busting a player are based on your level, their level, their time left in prison and the amount of busts you have made.
To encourage you to bust people out, there are currently 2 known achievements you can get for succeeding. These are Busting Assistant (Medium) (100 bust outs) and Hardcore Buster (Hard) (1,000 bust outs).

Travel
Travelling is a very simple process within Gangster Nation, it can be used as a simple way of transport to bet higher on casinos, being in the correct state for a bank robbery, to buy bullets from the bullet factory, to kill a player and much more.
You can travel to 10 different locations within the U.S.A:
- New York
- Michigan
- Colorado
- New Jersey
- California
- Nevada
- Louisiana
- Florida
- Georgia
- Illinois
The prices to travel to each location change every hour, on the hour.
| Train Type | Cost | Waiting Time | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cargo Train | Nil | 70 minutes | |
| Passenger Train | $5,000 | 55 minutes | |
| Business Class Train | $15,000 | 35 minutes |
Bank Account
The bank account, obviously, is where you can view all your bank details. This is the place were you deposit and withdraw money. Money that is kept in your bank account cannot be extorted. All the money you are not using should be kept inside your bank account.
Sending & Receiving Money
When sending money to other players, you must first withdraw the money from your bank. You can then enter the player's username, amount you wish to send and an optional message.
No matter how much you send or receive, the bank will always take 10% of what was sent as a commission charge.
Recent Transactions
This is where you can view previous transactions, either that you have sent or received.
The Times
The Times is a community written newspaper for Gangster Nation. It brings more fun to the game, it is great to read when you have spare time, either because you are in the prison or waiting for timers to reset. The articles within the newspaper can be random, they can also cover real game events and keep you up to date with the Gangster Nation happenings. If you wish to keep up on the gameplay, reading this newspaper is worth your time. It shouldn't take you too long to read.
The main newspaper editor puts their account into the pool of possible editors, when this is done the players can vote for who they wish to be the main editor for the upcoming week. Votes are reset every week and whoever has the most votes at the end of the week (which can be the current editor) becomes the main editor.
A number of sub-editors can be assigned by the current editor to help assist the main editor.
Auction House
The auction house is a great way for players to interact and sell items. You can place vehicles, credits, bullets and witness statements on the auction house.
You can place items on the auction house for 6 set time limits.
- 10 minutes
- 20 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 1 hour
- 2 hours
- 4 hours
You can set the minimum bid to however much you wish. When the bidding process starts each bid a player makes will be a minimum of 10% greater than the last.
Many players like to hide their identification by either bidding on an item as an anonymous user or setting themselves as anonymous when opening an auction.
Placing a Bid
When you place a bid you will have to pay a minimum of 10% higher than the previous bid.
- An item is up for $25,000.
- The next bidder will have to bid a minimum of $27,500.
If you are outbid you will receive an event stating which auction you have been outbid on. You will also receive an event if you win an auction.
Bullet Factory
The bullet factory is the place where you can buy your bullet stock, for whatever reason it may be. Bullet factories are restocked every hour, when this occurs the prices will change (as low as $80 per bullet, to $200 per bullet).
- You can only buy 100 bullets every minute.
- Different states will have different prices and amount of bullets in stock.
- Buying bullets is illegal, there is a 1 in 21 chance of the police catching you and confiscating the bullets you purchased.
Going Turbo
Going turbo allows you to increase the amount of bullets you can buy per minute, from 100 to 300. However, when you "Go Turbo" the 6 credits you spent will allow you to buy 300 bullets 30 times. You can purchase the "Go Turbo" feature once every 24 hours.
Transferring Bullets
Transferring bullets is one way to trade/sell bullets to other users. However, using this method will deduct 40% of the amount you wish to send (e.g. if you are sending 10,000 bullets, the receiver will get 6,000 after the 40% tax).
Drug Dealing
Drug dealing is another way to make money in Gangster Nation, the key to buying narcotics is to purchase them cheap, travel and sell them for a greater price.
You can find out the prices of narcotics in other locations by clicking on "Request pricing for each location", this process can take 15 - 30 seconds. To make more money from selling narcotics, you can upgrade the amount you can hold at any one time.
The prices and amount of drugs the dealer has to sell change every hour.
Your Garage
Your garage is where all your vehicles are stored. From this page you can manage where your vehicles can be shipped to, how many you want to sell and/or crush.
You can repair vehicles, but it can cost more than the the car is valued at, the reason for repairing is so that you can use cars with no damage in group crimes (Bank Robbery and Van Hijack).
The amount of cars your garage can hold is dependant on your current level.
- Level 1 - 9: Upgrade to a maximum of 50 cars
- Level 10 - 19: Upgrade to a maximum of 100 cars
- Level 20 and above: Upgrade to a maximum of 200 cars
"Dumping" a car will remove the car from your garage.
Selling Vehicles
You can now put "bulk" vehicles into the auction house from the Your Garage page. The amounts are set, so if you wish to sell for a higher or lower price you will have to go to the auction house.
Crushing
Crushing and selling scrap is a quick and easy way to make money from vehicles, if you do not wish to wait for the shipping process. Crushing cars can also be used to earn bullets. You can only crush one car every 30 minutes to create bullets. However, you can trade in 4 credits to upgrade the car crusher to crush 10 cars at a time, per 30 minutes.
Depending on your level, you can crush a certain amount of cars at one time.
- Levels 1-9: 4 cars
- Levels 10-19: 8 cars
- Levels 20+: 12 cars
Mentoring
Mentoring allows players to interact more by helping others level up faster. Mentors can be sent to any other player in the game, this will then allow them to receive a random amount of level points. A higher levelled player will produce more level points when given to a lower levelled player (the mentee). The highest recorded amount of level points received is 50 points.
To mentor someone it can cost anywhere from $100 to $57,600+. Mentoring people is a great way to make cash in Gangster Nation and is widely used as a source of money.
