Send Message
Just as it says, this is where you can send private messages to other users within Gangster Nation, you can also use BBCode when sending messages. Simply enter the username of the person you wish to send a message to, type your message and press "Send Message".
Within Gangster Nation there is a list of emoticons and the BBCode you can use.
Messages
View all messages which are sent to you on this page. You can increase your inbox size from 10 messages to 30 messages by becoming a premium member.
When a message is highlighted blue, it means that it is an unread message, when you click "read" the message will appear above the inbox, if you have replied to it previously it should have your full conversation in it, unless the other user has deleted it. The checkboxes at the right-hand side are a quick and easy way to be able to select and delete messages you do not need.
Events
Events are messages that let you know when someone has extorted you, whether your group crime has passed or failed, if you have been invited as a buddy or to a family, auction house status (whether you have won the item or been outbid) and if a buddy has died.
Events also let you know when you have been sent money, bullets or credits.
Recent events will allow you to view them in a pop-up window.
Forums
Just like any other forum, it is an area in which all of the Gangster Nation community can speak to each other. Users can create new topics about anything they wish, whether it be about Gangster Nation, movies, music or television, everyone can comment and add their opinion to the topic.
A bold topic title means that you have not read the topic. The way in which the forums are set out, new posts to topics will be shown at the top (underneath the main post) whilst older replies will be towards the bottom. The number to the right of the topic title is how many replies have been made to the topic.

Buddies
The buddies section of Communication is a nice area to add people you enjoy speaking to, to your list. When you have added someone as a buddy their profile avatar will appear underneath your public profile.
When someone who is on your buddy list dies, you will receive an event saying that they have passed away.
You can have a maximum of 20 buddies. You can increase this, if you become a premium member, to a maximum of 60 buddies.
Your Buddies
This part of the page shows you your friend's username, level and whether they are online or offline. To the right of this is a link which will remove them from your list.
Buddy Invites
This is where you invite people to be your buddy. You can also see all active invites and cancel them if you wish.
Message All Buddies
Message All Buddies is an easy way to contact all of your friends via one message. It is a circular message that will go to everyone at the same time, you can choose whether it only sends to online players, or to both online and offline.
Notepad
The notepad is a very simple feature and can be widely used. The most common use is probably for a 'to do' list or a 'to kill' list. All you have to do is enter what you need to remember into the white area and press 'save'.
Chat
The chat module allows you to speak to other users who are on chat in real time. You can choose whether to embed it to the right or to the bottom of your pages, or not at all.
Chat is a great way to find people who are selling vehicles, bullets or credits. It is even a great way to find people who are doing Organized Crimes.
Private Messaging
Within the chat itself you can send private messages to users on the chat, just simply enter your message in this format:
- /p <name> <message>
It should then look like this in chat:
/p Jonny Hey, how are you?
[P] <Bob> Hey, how are you?
[P] <Jonny> Not bad, you?
