Getting Started
From Gangster Nation Guide
Welcome to GangsterNation, It is actually more of a Mafia game, than it is a Gangster game. For the most part the game is about building alliances with other players, having said that sometimes you form rivalries with other players. All this will come as you as you start playing and ranking. Two items I need to say first, first read the game rules, let me say it again READ THE GAME RULES else you account may be banned (also called Admin Killed). Secondly if you have a "corny" user name, put some thought into a different name, then commit suicide on your current account and sign up a new account before you put effort into your current name.
So you just signed up, what the heck do you do? Simple answer, keep on top of "Your Status" screen, after all it is your first page under general at the very top of the listings. Your objective here is to keep on top of every item under "Waiting Times" meaning complete them every item at all times, there are some exceptions but you'll learn this later. Now do them in the order that is listed per this guide. Once you do one crime, and the clock is running down, click on the next type crime. You can click on them through through your status screen.
Street Crime Click on "Steal from a tramp" EVERY TIME you will end up going to jail the first few times, this is normal, but as your succeed chance raises, you will pass more often. Eventually it'll max out at 100% after 30-40 times (you'll get to that point before you know it). When it gets to 100% do NOT click on the crime right under it, only click on "steal from a tramp" EVERY TIME.
Vehicle Theft This will be set on "Lower Class," keep it at that, and just click on Attempt Theft. Again you're succeed chance will be 0% and you will go to jail the first few times. After 180 Attempts your succeed chance will max out at 90%, just keep at it. After 540 attempts your succeed chance for middle class cars will max out at 90% and the default selected class will become "middle class." After 1620 attempts High class will max out at 90% and become default. Don't worry you'll eventually get there. I'll explain what to do with cars later in this guide.
Chase There is four buttons U-Turn, Right, Forward, and Left. There is no magical sequence to this, believe me everyone has tried to figure it out, but there is not one, so just click on it in random sequence, sometimes you'll get money, sometimes you'll fail, and sometimes you will fail and go to jail.
Extortion Click on Attempt to extort a random player. Eventually you might want to target somebody, but this will come to you later. Now if you extort a random player, basically you are stealing their money that is "Money in their Pocket" not money in their back. The lesson you should learn from this is that you should deposit all of your money in your bank account, AT ALL TIMES, except when you really need it to do other functions. This is optional but just shows you have respect, if you extort somebody for a sufficient amount, say anything over say $10,000 message that specific player, and say "sorry about extortion." For the most part they will let you keep the money, but it's just the respectable thing to do. When you finally get extorted for big money, you'll understand how frustrating extortion can be.
Robbery The default options should be Weapon: Knife, Place: Corner Shop; so just click on "Grab your weapon and lets so this!"
Fraud With Fraud just click on Commit Fraud, simple as that. As you rank up, the amount you may receive from it will be greater.
Bank Robbery These can become very complicated, you can make a lot of money off of them, but it has got to be done the right way. This should be a guide onto itself. Basically, don't bother with them until you are rank 5, and don't try to set one up yourself, somebody will eventually ask you to do one by messages. You might get a message asking, Bank Robbery, OC, or Organized Crime. In that case let them help you out. It is okay for it to stand at Ready until you find the right people to do the Bank Robbery with.
Van Hijack This is another group crime, and another use for a vehicle. Game automatically groups you up with two other people at random. Try it ONLY If you have a car with LESS THAN 10% damage, then use that vehicle. If none of your vehicles are 10% or over, don't bother with it.
Paid Work There is two different types of jobs. One is to bust people out of jail, I'll explain jail busts later in this guide. Second type of job is to find a specific make of car with 70% or less damage. You may have that type of vehicle in your garage if so just select it and sell it to "Butchie," or ask in chat "does anybody have a Honda?" If they do they will put it in the "Auction House" for you. If they do just check the Auction House Screen, if you hover your cursor over "Vehicle" under the "Item" column it'll tell you the make and model of the vehicle. If you is what you need pull that money out of your bank account and place a bid.
Travel This is the one exception to rule that everything timer should always be ticking down. There are many reasons to travel, however two of the most important are to buy bullets, and to do the bank robberies. Again this feature will come to you as you start playing.
Garage (Bullet Crusher) Here you can crush vehicles from your garage for bullets, for rank 1 through 9 you can only crush four at a time. Typically you would want to select your top 4 most valuable to crush for bullets with the exception of an "OC car" which would be valued above $90k with 10% or less damage. With your garage there is three ways of acquiring cars. 1) Steal them under vehicle theft 2) Scratch and Wins (which I will explain further in this guide), and 3) Buy them through the auction house. Until you rank up it would be best to sell them in the Auction House. If you put them up for "vehicle value" for ten minutes, higher ranked players will typically buy them up right away, since they can crush more cars at once. If you they don't sell the first time, message online players that are ranked 20 and above and ask if they want to buy cars, then place them in the auction house again. Another note about the garage, always make sure you always have space, spend the money to upgrade your garage to hold more cars. if you do not have the space and acquire a car, it will be forfeited and you will lose it. Selling cars in the Auction House is a great way to make money at lower ranks.
Mentors Everybody loves mentors, some players will pay anywhere from $10k-$20k per rank point they receive. In chat advertise "I'm selling a mentor, message me with offers" Vast majority of players are honest, so see who is offering you the best price. Copy their username, Check to see how much the mentor at your current rank costs, pull the money out of your bank account, then paste their name to Username in the Username field (make sure you didn't copy any blank spaces by accident) then click on Mentor player ($x,xxx) Say you give them 4 rank points at $15kpp you will receive $60k from that player. Having said that, don't bother sending mentors until you get to rank 4 because the higher rank you are the more rank points your mentors will give.
Okay so this takes care of your waiting times.
Prison busts Aside from doing your crimes this is the only other way to rank. You can not click on this through your status screen directly, you can click on it through the top status box on the upper right, or click on it under the city life tab. Here you just click on the "radio button" under attempt. You may notice the rows may be different colors, the rule is lighter color rows are easier to bust, and give you less rank points. The dark rows are harder to bust, but if you bust them you get more rank points. Also be conscious of your busting energy when it goes down to 0, chill out on them for a little bit. You want to balance jail busts with your status screen to do your crimes.
Bullets There is multiple ways of acquiring them. Cheapest way is you buy them through the Bullet Store. You can buy 100 at a time. If you upgrade to going turbo you can buy up to 300 at a time for 30 times, but don't worry about that for now. Hardest part about the bullet store is that people buy them out very quickly. They are released ON THE HOUR - EVERY HOUR, and people buy them up very quickly. So when the the clock turns to the hour be ready 20 seconds before by pulling $20k out of your bank and buying your first hundred, then you have to wait 1 minute before buying your next batch. You can also buy them from the Auction House, however this is extremely expensive, they go for 350 per bullet to over 500 per bullet. Another way to acquire bullet is ou can crush cars, and finally you can get them from doing your Scratch and Wins.
Guns Do not worry about buying a gun until you are close to being out of protection. Do NOT buy a gun unless it's a Vulcan or an Anza else you are wasting your money. You should get the Anza, but if you can't spare the money, and are a quiet player who doesn't cause much trouble you can get away with Vulcan.
Scratch and Wins This is why you should get to Rank 5 as quickly as possible, you should easily to get it within 5 hours of game play, so that you can do scratch and wins. They are to your best benefit. You can get cars, money, or bullets. With the cars, you can either crush them for bullets or make big money. To do them you simply have to get to rank 5 then go to Scratch and Win under the Gambling tab. Always do the Mega Cards! If you need money to do them, just ask somebody a high rank for $50k to do them, they will be more than happy to help you out, since they always want to buy cars through the Auction House.
Families NEVER ask anybody to get into their family, wait to be asked. As long as you rank properly someone will ask you.
Money You will learn to get money on your own. Do NOT beg other players for it. If you need $100k or so, ask politely and someone will help you. But do NOT be rude NOR beg for it.
